Through the creative vision of Lucasfilm Ltd. and the Cartoon Network, the Clone Wars are brought to life in an exciting new series of short animated chapters. A unique animation style captures the drama of this epic period in galactic history along with its outstanding heroes and adversaries. Noble Jedi warriors lead Clone Troopers into battle against the evil Separatist forces and their droid armies. Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda and their comrades struggle against the rising power of the dark side and confront personal challenges against a backdrop of war-torn planets.

Cartoon-style Bounty Hunter Durge was released individually carded twice, once in Spring 2004, and then later on a different looking cardback in 2005. The figure was also available in Fall of 2005 in a Commemorative DVD Collection 3-pack, which was a Walmart exclusive and also included cartoon-style Star Wars figures of Asajj Ventress and General Grievous. Bounty Hunter Durge can be seen in the Tartakovsky Clone Wars TV show in various different episodes.

Durge has six joints, including a swivel neck, 2 swivel arms, 2 swivel wrists and a swivel waist. Because of the big upper body and very small feet (and no articulation in the legs), Durge stands quite shaky and will need help from the included stand if you want to display him longer than just a few minutes. The only weapon included with Durge was a vibro lance, which he can hold comfortably in the right hand. The two blasters seen in the holsters are part of the figure and can’t be removed. The jet-pack on the back of the figure is also permanently attached and part of the figure.

The paint application on Durge seems to match the Bounty Hunter’s appearance in the cartoon series quite well. The sculpt looks fantastic, and the figure is big and so over the top that it’s kind of cool. Durge sure looks out of place among realistic style Star Wars figures, but he fits right in with all the other cartoon-style figures based on the Tartakovsky Clone Wars series.
